Outline itinerary


Day 1: Arrive to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel
It is a panoramic thrill flying into Kathmandu on a clear day. The views of snow-capped mountain peaks sprawling down below you are almost ecstatic, beginning a whole chain of memorable experiences that stay with you for a long, long time. A Tour Officer and driver representing Kipling Travel will cordially receive you at Kathmandu Airport. Then, you will be escorted to your hotel in the city.


Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour
Kathmandu is the historical and cultural heart of Nepal and has been a popular destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its doors to visitors. The city presents a wonderful mix of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influence. Early morning enjoy the breakfast and head towards the most popular Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva- Pashupatinath. Pashupatinath, a UNESCO World Heritage Site is considered the holiest place in Nepal to cremate the departed ones. You can easily witness the culture of Hindu funeral in Aryaghat at Pashupatinath. Then few minutes’ walk will bring you to Boudhnath, which is one of the biggest Buddhist shrines in the world. In this UNESCO World Heritage Site you can observe Buddhist monks absorbed in prayer surrounding the stupa. The Tibetan flavor is well observed in the backstreets of Boudhanath. Then, you will have your lunch in a restaurant overlooking the Stupa. After lunch, you will drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square. This ancient courtyard is incredible with enormous craftsmanship of the local inhabitants of primeval and medieval ages. The stone paved streets, pagoda style edifices and the religious monuments of different deities are the live cultural displays of ancient time. After, the thorough exploration of these world heritage sites, you will probably let go your exhaustion at your cozy hotel room.


Day 3: Drive to Nuwakot, – Sightseeing tour of Nuwakot Durbar and Temple & School visit 
After breakfast you will begin your journey from Kathmandu by on a private vehicle. A 3-4 hours ride passing through picturesque villages and magnificent mountain vistas, will bring you to a hill top village of Nuwakot. Nuwakot has a huge historical significance relating to the unification of modern day Nepal.


Day 4: Nuwakot
The kings of Shah Dynasty ruled the place many years ago before King Prithivi Narayan Shah, the founder of modern Nepal invaded the place during his mission of Nation Unification. The seven storied ancient palace built between 1763 AD and 1770 AD by Prithivi Narayan Shah reflects the cultural and architectural reflection of the time. After the thorough exploration of Palace site and its vicinity you will visit a local school in Nuwakot where you will get an opportunity to interact with the Nepalese students. Then you will be escorted to a traditional Nepalese house where you will be staying for the night. You will also enjoy the traditional Nepali cuisine in the house.


Day 5: Transfer to Samari Bhanjyang 
Today you will drive till Khursani Khola and an hour further up the rugged gravel “road” to Samari Bhanjyang. Samari is an ideal place to experience the local Magar and Tamang culture and their agrarian lifestyle. Samari also offers some majestic views of Ganesh, Manaslu and other Himalayan Ranges. You will arrive to a destination well known for typical Nepalese home-stay experience. The beautiful village nestling in the middle hills of Nuwakot, Samari has been one of the most popular destinations of Nepal for rural tourism. You will have your night’s accommodation in Samari Ghar, a heart-warming typical house.


Day 6: Rest, small walking tours, Samari
Located about 35 km from Kathmandu, Samari Bhanjyang under Nuwakot district is a traditional Nepalese village, situated in one of the last mountain passes on the caravan route to Kathmandu. Though the village has a mixed population comprising of Chettris, Newars ,Tamangs and Magars, the latter two communities are in majority. For the overnight stay you will return to Samari Ghar.


Day 7: Rest, small walking tours, Samari
The day in the area of Samari wuth a small gompa, the bazar or just relaxing in the garden. Samari for the home-stay accommodation.


Day 8: Transfer to Kathmandu
Once again, you will be escorted to your hotel in Kathmandu. You will have your evening free for independent activities.


Day 9: Depart Kathmandu 
Our tour officer and a driver will be at your hotel reception to pick you up three and half hours prior to your departure. You will be transferred to the airport in a private vehicle. Our tour officer and driver will see you off. Have a safe flight and sweet memories back home.
